What is this tool?

The Student Readiness Assessment Tool (SRAT) helps you evaluate your understanding of Generative AI. This isn't a test - it's a learning tool to help guide your AI learning journey and provide helpful feedback and resources along the way.

This tool gives you:

  • A personalised report on your AI readiness
  • Access to targeted resources to boost your knowledge
  • Experience using AI while learning about AI
  • Practice in a safe, judgment-free space

Just so you know, all conversations are recorded but your responses are anonymous and no records are shared with your teachers.

How it works

Scroll to the end of this page to find the agent (requires USYD login) or open the agent directly using this link: bit.ly/SRAT-USYD and...

STEP 1: Write ‘GO’ and the SRAT agent will ask you a question

STEP 2: You will answer up to 14 conversation-style questions on a range of topics. This should take ~10 minutes if you use short responses, but you are free to take more time to write longer responses and engage in a longer period of conversation

STEP 3: When you are ready to stop, just type "Stop and report"

STEP 4: Receive your personalised report and access to additional resources

STEP 5: You can save your report by clicking the three dots in the bottom right and selecting to print, download or email the conversation:

Tips

  • Keep responses to a few sentences (though you can write more if needed)
  • Feel free to:
    • Ask follow-up questions
    • Say "I don't know" or "prefer not to say"
    • Use casual language
    • Take your time
  • If something seems odd, just ask your question or tell the agent what you want again
  • And lastly, remember, this is a conversation, not a test 🙂
